The company was formed in 2000 through the merging of Intamasa, Turolense de Tableros SA, and Utiel SA. The company is a joint venture of Financiera Maderera SA, a family-run private limited company founded on a single sawmill in Portanxil in 1931 that produces particleboard and MDF, with two other particleboard makers Desarrollo Mobiliario SL, and Mostoles Industrial SA.
